Charlie: 18 Months!

This is way overdue, but, our baby is a year and a half (and no longer a baby, really)! He gets cuter and funnier each day, providing most of our entertainment (hooray for free entertainment!). He loves to laugh and make lots of noise while rambunctiously running all through the house. Such a boy. He's also surprisingly my little cuddle bug. He loves giving hugs, laying his head on us and sitting in our laps while he reads a book. He's such a bookworm, which is fine by me! I love how furrowed his brow is while he's "reading"....I wonder what he could be thinking?

Here are some new words he likes to say:
"Dis" (This? as he points to any and everything)
"Back" (while patting our backs)
"Bah-guy" (bicycle)
"Teeth" (He only has one more incisor to go and then his 2 year molars before he is DONE teething. Can I get an "amen"?)
"Bob" (our neighbor!)
"Bug" (he likes to "pet" the bugs)
"Bar-ca" (barcode...yep, strange word to teach a toddler, brought to you by Dan.)
"Moh-ma" (monkey)
"Ish" (fish)
"Eye" (and then pokes you in the eye)
"Ah-gah" (somehow this is airplane)
"Mail" (when he sees the mail truck)
"Mm-mm" (to the inflection of "uh-oh" whenever something falls, breaks, or isn't quite right. He's started doing it when he needs a diaper change, too!)
"Ah-bah-kah" (The great mystery. If anyone can tell us what this means to Charlie, you get a prize. He says this constantly, and we can't figure it out! He points to the spring on the garage door and says it. He points to the top corners of his windows and says it. He points out the windows and says it. He points to a picture of Morgan Freeman on the back of a dvd case and says it! We are stumped.)

We weighed him recently and found he is a whopping 28 lbs! We also started a height chart in his room for him, and he is almost 31" inches tall...short & stout little guy :)

He has discovered how to climb onto his rocking chair, turn around, and sit down all by himself. He can also climb onto the couch by himself, as of today. He loves climbing. Since his chubby legs are so short, it took him awhile to get this down! It's pretty funny to leave the room and then later find him with a book sitting on the couch reading it :) He loves to be outside, so he's constantly bringing us his shoes (don't dogs do that?). Haha!

We love to watch you grow, Charlie. What a happy 18 months it's been!
