I could tell from the crazy hyper kicks in utero, that Charlie would be an active little guy. Now, at 5 and a half months old, he is more eager than ever to move around and explore. About a month ago we purchased a used doorway jumper for Charlie- one of our best investments yet! He LOVES jumping, so much that he thinks he is always in the jumper, even when he's not. I tried to capture a video of his hyper jumping abilities, but caught this on tape instead (his newest obsession with Sophie the giraffe):
Yep...still teething. Now that he has two nice sized bottom teeth all the way through (from 3 months!), seems like he is working on 4 more on the bottom and possibly 2 on top! Time will tell, though, which teeth are the real culprits.
He has also recently started getting into the crawling position up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth until he scoots... backwards! If I leave him and turn around for a minute or so, when I turn back around he has moved several feet behind where he started (and is usually up against a wall frustrated that he can't go any farther)! He's suddenly becoming very mobile!
Charlie also rolled over from his back to his tummy for the first time last weekend! He's been rolling over from his tummy to his back since he was only a month or two, but we've been waiting for him to roll over the other way for months!
We love our active little chunker.
Great video! He is so intentional about all he does, isn't he? What a sweetie....we miss him! Don't grow up too much before we see you next Charlie! I think Sopie will prove to be a great teething buddy! Love you all!
