Wow. I see I am a bit behind in blogging. Haven't had a lot of extra time lately, though the few minutes here and there I do have are filled with catching up on Charlie's baby book! I'm having a blast with www.mixbook.com and highly recommend them for their picture books.
A little about 8 month old Charlie:
* He pulls himself into standing position with help of a chair or couch!
* He understands the words (and signs for): milk, hungry, kitty, & ball (if he understands "no," he sure is pretending not to)
* Eating everything in sight is still a favorite pastime...mostly tufts of cat hair, lint, spider webs, and other gross things we try to retrieve when we notice him chewing...
*Solid foods he eats: avocado, banana, blueberries, egg yolk, oatmeal, coconut milk, sweet potato, peas, carrots, and organic baby "puffs."
*Favorite "words": "baba" & "dada" (no associations yet with Daddy, though)
*He loves being held by Mommy and reaches for her whenever he sees her...inconvenient, but sweet :)
*He has 5 teeth (3 on top, 2 on bottom) and seems to STILL be working on more, never a break!
*He sleeps 10-11 hours at night (on a good night) and naps (briefly) about 2-3 times a day.
*He is still army crawling...wonder if he'll ever crawl normally?
*He loves when you kiss all over his neck crevices and blow on his tummy!
*He also likes playing "peek-a-boo" and laughs heartily when you appear.
*He's starting to wave at us!
*He's still not gaining weight lately, actually losing a bit! He is so active! Weighs about 17 pounds even now.
*He head bangs and flaps his arms when he's really happy :)
*His hair is really growing lately and is becoming quite curly!
Well, that's Charlie in a nutshell right now. He is getting to be such a big boy so quickly!
