Norah:10 Months

It's been a crazy month. Interrupted sleep. Lack of sleep. Teething. Crying. Strange and scary food reactions. Sickness. Fussiness. Crawling. Climbing. Standing. Cruising. Travel. Wedding events. Painting. Still unpacking. Doctor visits. Rain almost every single day (no playing outdoors). And on...

We just barely got Norah's 9 month pictures taken within 2 days of her 10 month birthday. I'm glad to put this month behind us. Here are some new things in the life of Norah:

* First time staying in a hotel and attending a wedding. She cried the entire rehearsal dinner and reception.
* New foods: egg yolks (potentially what caused a really scary reaction with vomiting, turning pale, becoming limp and lethargic. Won't be trying eggs for awhile just in case.) black beans, broccoli, and blueberries. We took a good long break from solids because we weren't sure what really happened, so we're slowly starting again.
* Norah is fearless. She is the opposite of cautious. She loves being thrown way up in the air and being spun around. She has started climbing all over, including stairs! She pulls herself into a standing position very quickly now and walks around holding onto furniture and people :)
* Norah has 3 teeth officially and another top one that is just days away from coming in. Neither of our kids are easy teethers. Everyone feels the pain ;)
* Sleeping has been torture this past month. Probably with the teething and food reaction and travel, etc. Just the past few days have been amazingly better, praise God. Couldn't take much more of that.
* Norah's little personality has been coming out more and more, and it's so fun to see. She's very determined and stubborn, likes to scream and squawk when she's happy, is still sweetly cuddly and give big hugs when we get her out of her crib.
* She LOVES music. Anytime it is playing, she rocks her whole body back and forth or shakes her head back and forth (like she's saying 'no'). It's pretty hilarious. If she's cranky, she calms right down if we put some music on. Sometimes she sings along.
* Her crawling is freakishly fast now and she is into EVERYTHING. Her favorite pastime is eating tiny crumbs, hair, or hazardous objects I have no idea where they came from. I seriously save her life about 50 times a day.
* Her hair is growing...in the back. It's starting to curl a bit, but not as much as her brother's did at this age. She refuses to grow hair on the top/front of her head so I can put cute little bows or clips in her hair, but now she's discovered her headbands and hates them with a passion. They last about 2 seconds before she rips them off her head. So, I've given up. Hopefully her eyelashes tell that she is a girl.
* She loves wrestling and playing with Daddy. It's so so sweet.
* She loves playing with her brother and they laugh back and forth hilariously. It's even sweeter.

Stats: 16.5 lbs. In 6-9 month clothes.
