A Poem by Pastor Sam

Just thought I'd share this witty poem that Pastor Sam Crabtree wrote for my farewell party at work :)

Our Tara Schmidt has been a hit;
There’s just no doubt about, um, it.
Among our staff she’s one good fit.
With little booties soon to knit,
And stretch pant waistbands to refit-
We see the time has come to quit…
We’re happy. We’re not in a snit
That Tara is about to split.
With nodding heads we all admit
She leaves for reasons quite legit.
We each would be a hypocrite –
Our claims of love so counterfeit –
If we denied the benefit
Of sending Tara to transmit
The claims of Christ – lickety-split –
To little newborn Baby Schmidt.
