Juice Fast: Day Seven

Three more days, three more days, three more days. This is what Dan and I have been telling ourselves over and over today. I think it's been the hardest day so far. Here are some things on our cravings list today: Italian food. S'mores. Cheese. Taquitos (and Mexican food in general). Waldorf Salad from Rock Bottom (one of my top 3 favorite salads). Cookies. French Silk Pie. Lemon bars. Indian food. Pretty much, everything.

We seriously considered giving up today. But we committed to 10 days. And we're sooo close. What a lesson in self-control and perseverance. The green drinks are getting more difficult to drink, not because they are bad, they really aren't. But they aren't really that good either, and mainly, they aren't chewable food! This fast has made me thankful to God for making food taste good and for giving us tongues that can taste it! It could have been made so bland and only good for filling us up, but He made it enjoyable to us as we eat it (well, most of it, ha)!

If you get to eat today and it not only fills your stomach, but it tastes yummy, thank the Lord!

  1. You have always exhibited such self-control, Tara. It's been interesting reading that's for sure!

  2. Ha. Thanks, Bert. I sure don't have self-control when it comes to food, though! :)
