Juice Fast: Day Two

Well, we made it a whole day without chewing anything! After a day and a half of juicing fruits and vegetables exclusively, the only side effects I've had are hunger pangs, which haven't been too bad, and losing two pounds, not bad at all :) Due to the beautiful weather yesterday, we took a walk with Charlie down to the park, but hardly had enough energy to make it back up the big hill to our house...hmm...probably need to take it a little easier during the fast! Last night I decided to make a snack after dinner since I was still hungry...this juice consisted of tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and raw garlic. It's called "Bruschetta Juice" and tastes exactly like the name. Not too bad, but afterwards I reeked of garlic, so much so that Dan made me take a shower before going to bed! Ha. Probably won't be juicing garlic again anytime soon.

On to day two! We had an absolutely delicious fruit juice this morning that kept me full longer than the day before. It was called "Blackberry Kiwi" juice from the Reboot website. We substituted blueberries for the blackberries and forgot to add the coconut water, so this is what it ended up including:

blueberries
pineapple
pear
apple
kiwi
mint leaves

This is the best juice we've tried yet! A bit expensive, so we probably won't make it a bunch, but SO so good. The mint leaves add such a nice subtle taste, too.

For lunch we had the "Green Lemonade"which consists of the following:

green apples
spinach
kale
cucumber
celery
lemon

This one was pre-tty green tasting, but still good. The most difficult part of my day is feeding Charlie. His food smells so good and I almost forget and eat a bite! But I always catch myself just in time :) Poor Dan... he had to ride up the elevator at work with some guy who had just bought fresh hot french fries, and when he made it to his floor saw they were giving out free peanut butter cookies! Talk about temptation. My mouth is watering as I type this. I think it's time for a snack....carrot juice perhaps?
